Progress Pace winner Why Not Now topped the half-million dollar mark selling in an online auction on Thursday, Nov. 30.

Why Not Now p,3,1:48.2f-'23 ($706,880) sold for $502,000 to Greg Luther of Ohio via onGait.com.

A son of Always A Virgin-Star Of The Show racing for the partnership of Howard Taylor, trainer Dylan Davis and Jeffrey Billings, Why Not Now recently capped off a brilliant three-year-old campaign with a scorching 1:48.2 victory over Moment Is Here, El Rey and Cannibal in the $260,000 Progress Pace at Dover Downs -- his ninth win in 18 seasonal starts.

The Indiana Sire Stakes champion, who earned the bulk of his $706,880 bankroll this year, also won the Jennas Beach Boy and Hoosier Cup in addition to placing in the Pegasus and Monument Circle, all at Hoosier Park.
