Last month's Premier's Cup champion Roll Em was back in the winner's circle after taking the featured Preferred 2 Pace while the streaking three-year-old pacer T H Boomtown had another photo op of his own on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Roll Em was a three-length winner in the $4,200 Preferred 2 Pace with half of the six-horse field scratched sick, scoring in 1:53.1 over a pair of Ron Matheson trainees, pacesetter Twin B Tuffenuff (Gilles Barrieau) and Blood Money (David Dowling). Marc Campbell was in the driver's seat behind the winner for trainer and co-owner Brent Campbell and partners Ryan MacLeod, Brady Doyle and Savage Stable. The six-year-old Time To Roll gelding now boasts nine wins on the season from 19 starts.
Charlottetown's leading driver Marc Campbell also won with Allaboutthecash (1:57.2) for trainer Jeff Holmes, Battle Of York (1:58) for Taylor Doyle and Spack Jarrow (1:58) from the Raymond White barn.
Trainer Ron Matheson and driver Gilles Barrieau scored two victories with Rockemsockem Scott (1:55) and T H Boomtown (1:57) -- the latter, a gelded son of Captain Crunch in his debut season, scoring his fifth straight victory to remain undefeated since arriving in P.E.I. this fall for owners Dr. Don Ling and Wayne MacDougall.
Jennifer Doyle continues to lead all trainers at the track and had two wins as Damian MacLellan steered Luckiestmanalive to a 1:56.1 victory and Dowling rocked First Glance to a 1:56 triumph.
