James MacDonald kicked off Friday night with four straight wins at Woodbine Mohawk Park, but didn't stop there.
The nation's leading driver went on a win streak to start the chalky card with Godiva Shadow Girl ($3.40) for trainer Richard Moreau, Angoustura Hanover ($4.70) for Peter Johnston, Duchenne ($4.80) for Meg Crone and Mae Lose Control ($5.80) for Chris Rogers.
MacDonald also delivered the biggest payout on the card in the sixth race with the Rick Zeron-trained Shes Got It All ($12.80) defeating the favoured Velvet Stinger.
Moreau trainees bookend MacDonald's six-bagger as The Ideal Huntress ($2.90) brought the hot-handed reinsman back to the winner's circle after prevailing in a three-across finish in the ninth race.
With his six wins on the 10-race card, MacDonald retook the lead in the Canadian driver standings over Tyler Borth, now 356-353.
Taking into account his stateside success, MacDonald has driven a total of 358 winners so far this year and the two-time Driver of the Year is currently in the midst of his second straight $9 million season.
