The winner’s circle at Monticello Raceway was overflowing with family, friends and fellow horsemen on Wednesday, November 2, as a memorial service was held in the winner’s circle for the late Brett Smith.
The memorial took place after Race 8. Brett’s parents, Gary and Tracey Smith, were among those in attendance.
Brett recently passed away from injuries sustained in a horse training accident.
“The strong showing is a testament of how much Brett was loved and is missed by all,” said Monticello Raceway Race Secretary Eric Warner.
