Trot Insider has learned there were no major injuries to the drivers or the horses involved in a two-horse spill in Saturday’s ninth race at Kawartha Downs

.

Nimrod Shuter, in rein to Brian Collins, and Tymal Tell, with Doug Hie at the helm, were involved in the spill caused by Hurry Up Harry.

Hurry Up Harry, who was first-over on the way to the three-quarter pole, was pressing the pace for driver Ian McCardle. The trotter bore in suddenly and rolled into a break, and that caused a chain reaction of interference to trailing horses.

Nimrod Shuter and Tymal Tell both fell after being impeded, but both horses received only minor cuts and scrapes. Hie was uninjured and returned to drive later on the card. Collins went to hospital for a thorough exam after the spill, but was later released with no major injuries.
