Little Manny powered to a commanding lead during the third quarter and cruised to his third straight victory at Truro Raceway in Sunday afternoon's featured Winners Over Pace.

American Risk (Kenneth Parker Jr.) got the first call leaving from the inside post, with last week's winner Intended Royalty (Redmond Doucet) parked and progressing into an open pocket spot through a :27.4 first quarter.

Meanwhile, Little Manny got away fourth and driver Todd Trites made his move at the :58.2 half-mile mark. Little Manny advanced alongside American Risk as the field entered the backstretch and he drove clear on the way to three-quarters in 1:26.4, widening to nearly five lengths turning for home. The winning time was 1:56.3 as Little Manny recorded his 10th win of the season for trainer Charles Miles.

Sent postward as the 4-5 favourite after back-to-back wins in Truro's top class earlier this month, Little Manny paid $3.80 to win. American Risk finished 4-1/2 lengths behind in second while Rusty Riley (Paul Langille) rallied off cover to nab third prize ahead of Intended Royalty.

A 15-time career winner, Little Manny has banked $39,676. The four-year-old gelded son of Articulator is owned by Brad McLaughlin of New Maryland, N.B., along with Fredericton's Dean McLaughlin, Mark Taylor and Stephen Trites.
