Isaac Waxman celebrated his first driving win on Friday night in Flamboro Downs’ eleventh race in rein to Mach It Paid.
The four-year-old gelded son of Mach Three left from Post 4 and carved out fractions of :26.4, :56.3 and 1:25.2 en route to victory in 1:55.4.
Twilight Jack (Jean Rene Plante) came on for second and Lombo Skyrider A (Don Gillis, Jr.) finished third.
The 21-year-old horseman also owns and trains Mach It Paid, a winner of 16 races and $157,445 in purses.
The resident of Dundas, Ontario, who has been training horses for three years, is in the midst of his best season with 97 victories and close to $700,000 in purse earnings. In his career, Waxman has record 147 training wins earning close to $1 million.
