Ontario-bred Uncle Goodfellow went wire-to-wire to earn his 30th career win in Wednesday's $30,000 Winners Over feature over a sloppy track at Harrah's Philadelphia.

George Napolitano Jr. sent the son of Royal Mattjesty to the lead from post four and carved out fractions of :27.1, :57 and 1:24.3 before holding off favourites Flem N Em N and Tim Tetrick from the pocket to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:53.3. Bet On The Law and David Miller finished over one length behind after a long parked out journey.

Sent postward as the 8-1 fifth choice in a seven-horse field, Uncle Goodfellow returned $19.40 to his backers.

Kevin Carr trains the gelding, who has won seven of his 31 races this year while adding over $100,000 to his career bankroll, for owner Howard Jacobs of West Orange, New Jersey.

Uncle Goodfellow has now won three of four starts at the Chester, Pennsylvania oval, including the top class back on Oct. 18.

The victory was one of four on the 14-race card for Napolitano. Yannick Gingras was the leading driver as he earned five wins on the day with the help of three Ron Burke trainees.
