The Midwest Classic Mixed Sale was held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the Michiana Event Center in Shipshewana, Indiana.
Bluebird Vapor, Hip 70, was the sale topper, garnering a final bid of $48,611 ($35,000 USD). Consigned by Bluebird Meadows, the Pilot Discretion-Lauries Lucky Lady colt was purchased by Byron Hooley of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bluebird Vapor is a full brother to this year's Indiana Sires Stakes two-year-old male trot consolation winner Bluebird Ladychuck ($65,220 - 1:55.2s) and a half sibling to a pair of six-figure earners, Buck Nome ($151,190 - 1:53.2f) and Bluebird Ladyluck ($111,762 - 1:58f).
The sale was comprised of 168 catalogued entries, including yearlings, weanlings, broodmares and racehorses.
