After missing the board in her last two assignments, Insincerity bounced back to take home weekly bragging rights in the Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

J.R. Plante wasted no time in hustling Insincerity to the engine and she successfully sliced out splits of :28.2, :58.1 and 1:27.2 before using a :30.2 closing quarter to seal the deal in 1:57.4. It was 2-1/2 lengths back to runner-up Misty Moonstone, with third prize going to Rachel Olivia.

It was the fifth win of the season – and the 18th to date – for the four-year-old daughter of Rambaran-Super Filly. Bred, owned and trained by Bill Hamm of West Lorne, Ontario, Insincerity lifted her lifetime loot to $121,425 with the win in the $9,000 affair.

The $6,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 went to Noartographsplease and driver Doug McNair in 1:57.4. Just as Insincerity did in the feature, the six-year-old daughter of Artesian-Armbro Wand marched to the lead and laid down fractions of :28.3, :58.2 and 1:27.3 en route to the 1:57.4 score. It was 4-3/4 lengths back to race favourite, Lady Latte. Cards That Count taking home the show dough.

Trainer Benjamin Paquette co-owns the 19-time winner with Regis Bernier and Lise Carbonneau. The $3,000 payday bumped her overall bankroll to $174,505.
