Construction of the Meadowlands Racetrack's new grandstand is moving right along.
As John Brennan has reported in The Bergen Record, the framework for the new grandstand has really started to take shape.
The first columns of steel started going in the ground two weeks ago. The new grandstand will be able to accommodate 5,000 customers, as opposed to the long-standing structure which can accommodate 25,000 patrons.
Meadowlands Racetrack Operator Jeff Gural told Brennan that in order to make the new Meadowlands attractive he has "got to change the image of the racetrack as not being a cool place to come.”
