Brookview Charm fetched the highest sale price from the 2020 Michiana Classic Yearling Sale, the final Standardbred yearling sale of the year.
The sale, featuring 180 catalogued yearlings, took place on Wednesday (Nov. 25) at the Michiana Event Center in Shipshewana, Ind.
Consigned to the sale by Brookview Farms, Brookview Charm (Swan For All - Disbelief) sold for $35,000 to Nathan Yoder of Odon, Ind. The filly, the third foal of her dam, hails from the family of world champion Beat The Wheel and millionaire Beatgoeson Hanover.
Trotting-bred yearlings garnered the three highest sale prices from the Michiana Classic. Mom Checked Out was collared by Brian Schofner of Porter, Tex. for $30,000. Consigned by Black Creek Farm as agent, the filly from the first crop of Dover Dan is the first foal of stakes winner Czech It Out.
Rounding out the top three from the sale was Bluebird Bowser, a colt by Muscle Massive from multiple stakes winner My Sweet Shiela. Dan Shetler of Indianapolis, Ind., acting as agent, signed the sales slip on the Premier Farms-consigned yearling for $25,000.
