Former two-time Atlantic Breeders Crown champion R Es Mary made her second local start at Batavia Downs Casino a winning one when she roared home from off the pace with authority in the featured $7,500 Fillies & Mares Open II Pace Wednesday night

Jack Flanigen moved R Es Mary three-deep around the last turn and they drew off to a three and a half length score in 1:57.2 for her new connections, trainer Bobbi Jo Martin and the Vogel And Wags Nags Stable of Hamburg, New York.
The win was R Es Mary's seventh of the season in 28 starts and pushed her earnings to $41,176. Lifetime, the five-year-old N Xample mare has won 17 times while banking over $150,000.
When racing resumes on Friday night, the entire Pick 6 pool will be paid out to whoever picks the most winners as it's the final time this season the wager will be offered. The Pick 6 carryover pool going into Friday’s program is $6,061. First race post time is 6:40 p.m.
