Blade Runner went two-for-two in Georgian Downs’ Hump Day Claiming Series for new trainer Richard Moreau while lowering his lifetime mark by nearly two seconds on Wednesday evening

Under the guidance of driver Sylvain Filion, Blade Runner swept to command from third past the half-mile mark and cruised home to win his $8,000 second leg division of the series for non-winners of $30,000 lifetime racing for a claiming price of $10,000. The four-year-old gelded son of Mach Three stopped the clock in 1:53.4, winning by one and a half length over Magic Cross (Philip Giesbrecht) and first leg winner Sweater Vest (Scott Zeron).
Blade Runner paid $5.70 to win for the third time in 14 seasonal starts. Owned by Tonya Backus of York, Ont., the gelding joined Moreau’s stable prior to his 1:55.3 series win on Nov. 16.
In other series action, the Modern Art three-year-old Hidden Hall ($12) and Aaron Byron converted from the pocket to win an earlier division in 1:58 for trainer Mike Sinclair and owner Onlineharnessowner Com 6 of Uxbridge, Ont. Four-year-old Largo gelding Elm Grove Elvis ($35.40) also scored off a two-hole trip in his division as he edged out the popular pacesetter, Cold Shadow (Paul MacKenzie), at the wire in 1:56.1 with Scott Coulter at the lines for trainer James Stewart and owner Edward Lagerquist of Brampton, Ont.
