According to a report, on Thursday, November 17, after a public hearing in regard to the possibility of a racino coming to Cicero, New York, just north of Syracuse, Onondaga County Legislature Chairman James Rhinehart said he will support the proposal to the legislature in December.

An article on syracuse.com has cited Reinhart as saying that the Legislature’s support would be contingent on developer Tom Wilmot building a 350-room Westin Hotel next to the county’s convention centre in downtown Syracuse.

“If there’s no hotel, there will be no racino,” Reinhart was quoted as saying.
