According to a report, on Thursday, November 17, after a public hearing in regard to the possibility of a racino coming to Cicero, New York, just north of Syracuse, Onondaga County Legislature Chairman James Rhinehart said he will support the proposal to the legislature in December
.
An article on syracuse.com has cited Reinhart as saying that the Legislature’s support would be contingent on developer Tom Wilmot building a 350-room Westin Hotel next to the county’s convention centre in downtown Syracuse.
“If there’s no hotel, there will be no racino,” Reinhart was quoted as saying.
