Track management at Pompano Park has announced that the scheduled Isle of Capri Pacing Series, the Mack Lobell Trotting Series and the Frances Dodge Van Lennep Pacing Series have been cancelled.

A Pompano release states that the events were cancelled "due to the additional expenses incurred from the purse account." The release goes on to state that the track will instead hold 10 new late-closing stakes series. The release said that some will be very similar to the prior major stakes events.

The new series will begin in April and will be announced shortly.
