Sell A Bit N (Jordan Stratton, $7.50) continued her roll Friday night, winning Yonkers Raceway’s $40,000 Filly and Mare Open Handicap Pace.
The race took on a different dynamic after Krispy Apple came up ill. That left Sell A Bit N — now from post position No. 7 — with an easier path to pursue. She worked around Request For Parole (George Brennan) then completed the course (:27.1, :56.3, 1:25, 1:53.1), disposing of a first-up Jonsie Jones (Tyler Buter) along the way.
Sell A Bit N held sway Request For Parole by a three-quarters of a length, with slight 2-1 choice Al Raza N (Eric Carlson) showing up late and losing the place photo. Narcian Jewel (Matt Kakaley) and UF Dragons Queen (Mark MacDonald) rounded out the payees.
For second choice Sell A Bit N, a five-year-old Down Under daughter of Julius Caesar owned by Harry von Knoblauch and trained by Peter Tritton, the win was her eighth (third consecutive) in 19 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $23.40, the triple returned $93 and the superfecta paid $644.
