Unefoisdansmavie, who had been attacking first over, successfully changed her strategy Tuesday at The Meadows, working out a perfect pocket trip en route to victory in the $20,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot.

Unefoisdansmavie won two straight with those uncovered bids, but she got stuck outside in her most recent effort and had to settle for second when she tired late. In Tuesday’s feature, Dave Palone hustled her to the front and accepted cover from Victory Is Coming. The five-year-old daughter of Revenue S-Peace To The World outkicked that rival to score by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:54.3. Trotslikethewind rallied for show.

Ron Burke trains Unefoisdansmavie, who extended her career bankroll to $196,724, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Jack Piatt III.

Aaron Merriman drove four winners on the 16-race card.

Following Wednesday’s program live racing at The Meadows takes a holiday before resuming Monday at 12:55 p.m.
