Risqué OTB Ad Pulled

According to a news item by Harness Tracks of America, an image of a reclining lady has been removed from online ads for the Nassau Off-Track Betting Corporation on Long Island.

The HTA item explains that Nassau County’s presiding officer said the ads were “in very poor taste,” and a state representative added that the ads were “offensive, in bad taste, and we shouldn’t tolerate it.”

The promoter that thought up the idea to attract younger fans suddenly turned puritan, reportedly saying, “this is a county-run facility; we don’t want to offend anyone.”
