Im Justa Lady reclaimed her customary spot among The Meadows’ elite Friday when she produced a powerful front-end victory in the $27,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Trot

.

Although she had captured 60 of her previous 182 career starts — most against top competition — an extended absence left her fighting her way through conditioned races back to the Preferred. On Friday, she flashed her class and talent for Tony Hall when she grabbed the early lead, retook after being pocketed briefly and drew off to score in 1:56.1. A ground-saving BVs Sister finished second, 1-1/4 lengths back, while Rose Run Keepsake rallied for show.

Tom Daumit trains Im Justa Lady, an eight-year-old daughter of Inquirer-Quite Becoming who extended her lifetime bankroll to $472,069, for Janet Collins and Patricia Daumit.
