Brookview Bullet overcame a blanket finish at the wire and prevailed by a head in the $25,000 Horses and Geldings Open Pace at Dayton Raceway on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 2.
Leaving from the rail, Brookview Bullet and Josh Sutton protected pylon position and set up for a pocket ride behind Stars Align A (Dan Noble) and a duelling Let It Ride N (Tony Hall). Through quick fractions in :25.4, :55.1 and 1:22.2, Stars Align A continued to lead the field to the top of the stretch. Brookview Bullet took advantage of the passing lane and used a tactical move up the inside to find the victory in the feature race in 1:51 over Stars Align A and Captain Romance.
Henry Graber Jr. trains the five-year-old gelded son of Always A Virgin for Eleven Star Stable. Brookview Bullet now boasts over $350,000 in career earnings and notched his fifth win of the season. He paid $34.50 to win.
