Century Downs may have only had eight races on its Tuesday (Nov. 2) card, but driver Mike Hennessy nonetheless thrived with a total of five winners including one in the $8,100 featured pace with Sometime Somewhere.
Sent the odds-on choice, Sometime Somewhere secured the point to a :28.1 first quarter and cruised uncontested through a :57.4 half. Pocket-sitter Crackle N Burn mounted a bid after the leader to three-quarters in 1:26.2, but stalled around the final turn as Outlaw Gunsablazin gained ground from last. Sometime Somewhere maintained control through the lane despite being chased home by Outlaw Gunsablazin to post a three-quarter-length win in 1:55.1 with Crackle N Burn finishing third and Phanatical Maniac fourth.
Robert T. Jones owns Sometime Somewhere, a four-year-old stallion by Somebeachsomewhere trained by Nate Sobey — his third winner of the card. Sometime Somewhere now owns 13 wins from 19 starts this season and 15 from 51 overall, good for $70,283 in earnings. He paid $3.70 to win.
Sometime Somewhere gave Hennessy his penultimate victory of the afternoon. He won thrice prior with Squirrely Dan ($2.30), Two Tone Terror ($2.30) and Da Little Beast ($9.60) before completing the five bagger with a win in the first half of the late daily double with Myomylookatmefly ($8.80).
