Lets Leavem Triumphs In RUS Finale

The 2018 Racing Under Saddle (RUS) Ontario season wrapped up on Friday night (November 2) with Lets Leavem and Sarah Town triumphant in the $6,000 Harlequin Handicap Trot at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

Owned and ridden by Town, the Kyle Fellows trainee Lets Leavem dismissed the challenges from favoured Azucar as he led all the way to win by 4-1/4 lengths while All Out Henry finished third. The eight-year-old Angus Hall gelding set fractions of :29.4, 1:00 and 1:30.3 en route to the 2:01 victory.

Lets Leavem went four-for-five in Racing Under Saddle action last year and won his only other sulkyless start this year in mid-September at Hanover Raceway.

Overall, the trotter has won 23 races lifetime and more than $200,000 in earnings.

He paid $6.80 to win as the 5-2 second choice.
