B Yoyo topped a talented group of trotters on Monday night (November 19) at Woodbine Mohawk Park as he marched across the wire three lengths to the good for Canada's leading driver and trainer.

Away fifth in the early stages of a $26,000 high-end trotting class -- one of six trots on the 10-race card -- the Richard Moreau-trained B Yoyo and Louis-Philippe Roy prevailed off a second-over trip in 1:54.1, defeating 9-5 favourite Musical Rhythm (Mario Baillargeon).

Big Rich (Bob McClure) and Chestnut Schofield (Ed Hensley) left out first with the latter crossing in front before the initial turn. As Chestnut Schofield went by the quarter pole in :28, Cue Hall (Doug McNair) moved out from third and he was urged on to clear past the :56.2 half-mile mark. It was during the third quarter when B Yoyo picked up cover from Free Willy Hanover (Jonathan Drury), who advanced up on even terms with Cue Hall at three-quarters in 1:26 and went on to gain a short-lived lead before B Yoyo swept by with a :27.4 final frame. Musical Rhythm, who was last at the midway mark, closed for second-place honours ahead of Free Willy Hanover.

B Yoyo is owned by Brad Grant, who was inducted into the Milton Sports Hall of Fame last Thursday.

The eight-year-old Striking Sahbra gelding was the 5-2 second wagering choice and returned $7.30 to win.

He now boasts back-to-back wins at Mohawk and a 5-9-5 record from 33 starts this season. The 37-time career winner has banked $166,610 of his $579,399 bankroll this year.
