Driver Marc Campbell added five more victories to his win totals on Saturday afternoon at Charlottetown Driving Park to boost his already dominant lead in the track's drivers standings.

Campbell set the tone for the 12-race card with an upset victory in the opener behind the Ralph Sweet-trained Calmlea Justin ($14.50). His next win came three races later aboard Windemere Gem ($4.10) for Mark McKinnon. Campbell was back at it shortly after winning races seven through nine with his own trainee Viewer Discretion ($8.90), another upset winner in Zanzibar ($21.10) for Paul Morrison, and Kaitlyn Rose ($5.60) for a Sweet double.

Campbell now boasts 107 wins this year at CDP for the lead with his nearest rival, Walter Cheverie, trailing 49 wins behind.

The resident of Winsloe, P.E.I., who turns 27 years old on Monday, is in the midst of a career year having won 159 races so far in 2011 while banking over $340,000. In eight years of driving, Campbell has steered 756 horses to victory lane for over $1.5 million in purse earnings.
