Thats It halted Tahiti Seelster's Fraser Downs win streak on Friday night (November 16) as she prevailed in a track record performance during the Lady Elements elimination round.
Thats It equalled the 1:52.2 track record for aged pacing mares, which was set by Furious Five in 2008.
Driven by Paul Davies, 8-1 shot Thats It followed Tahiti Seelster (Serge Masse), winner of her last six starts who crossed in front through a :26.1 opening quarter and carved out middle splits of :55.2 and 1:23.3. Thats It then tipped out of the pocket at the top of the stretch and glided by the front-striding favourite to win by 1-1/2 lengths in a career-best mile. G Ts Jamie (Jim Marino) finished more than six lengths back in third.
Thats It, a four-year-old daughter of Dragon Again, is trained by Gord Abbott while racing in B.C. for her Alberta-based connections, Lorne Duffield, Jean Crochetiere and Rod Hennessy. She now boasts back-to-back wins following an Open victory this past Sunday at Century Downs.
Lifetime, Thats It has won 18 races while banking $165,268 in purses.
Favourite Mach And Roll Baby led all the way in the other $10,000 elimination, rebuffing a parked out You Name It (Richard Remillard) while setting fractions of :27.1, :56.4 and 1:25.3 en route to a two-length victory in 1:54.3. Scott Knight drove the five-year-old homebred Mach Three mare for trainer Randy Rutledge, who also co-owns with Jennifer Dodsworth. Stylomilohos (Allan Molloy) and Big Shir (Rod Therres) followed in second and third, respectively.
