Three-year-old pacing filly Drunk And Dramatic continued her undefeated win streak on Friday night at Rideau Carleton Raceway while a quartet of other fillies and mares continued to rack up more wins for their own streaks and season-leading records.
Drunk And Dramatic romped to a five length victory in 1:57.4 in the $6,700 ninth race for fillies and mares that are non-winners of $15,000 or one race lifetime. Now eight-for-eight in her career, the Million Dollar Cam-Give Her A Double filly has banked $25,600 in purses for owner-trainer Philip Doyle of Burlington, Ont.
Five-year-old pacing mare Noartographsplease pushed her own win streak to seven with a 1:55.4 four length score in her $7,800 fourth race claiming-conditioning assignment for driver Simon Allard and trainer Rene Allard. Rene Allard and Shakoors Racing Stable L share ownership of the Artesian-Armbro Wand mare, who has won 11 times in 29 starts this year.
Fiery Manes made it four wins in a row for trainer-driver Per Henriksen and owners Thomas and Elizabeth Rankin of St. Catharines, Ont. in the $6,100 seventh race trot for non-winners of $7,500 (fillies & mares $9,375) lifetime. The three-year-old Angus Hall-Keystone Caprice filly is now five-for-nine in her career after recovering from a miscue and drawing off to win by six and a half lengths in 2:02.1.
Four-year-old pacing mare Dirt Track Momma tripled with her 1:59.2 two length triumph in the $4,600 sixth race claiming-conditioning event for driver Stephane Gendron and trainer-owner Jamie Copley. The E Dees Cam-Gushing Grace mare is now three-for-19 this year.
North America's winningest standardbred of the season, CMR Maybe Loaded, notched her 21st victory of 2012 in the opener for $6,500 claimers. The nine-year-old Fully Loaded-Armbro Windmill mare prevailed by a quarter length in 1:57.2 for Gendron and Copley. She's won half of her starts this year while banking over $63,000 for owners Saverino and Graziano Spagnolo of Ottawa, Ont.
