In addition to the confirmation of a one-mile track size at the planned American Harness Track's racing complex in Mahoning Township, Pennsylvania, it has been reported that Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission member Dan Vogler, the commissioner of Lawrence County, is stepping away from the commission

.

In regard to the racing facility, an article by the Beaver County Times has cited AHT Board Chairman Chuck Long as saying that his company is planning an 85,000 square-foot facility. He was also cited as saying that AHT will 'soon' apply to the state's gaming and control board for a casino license.

The article didn't offer many quotes from the PHRC's outgoing Vogler, but he was quoted as saying, "I've learned more about harness racing than I ever thought I would."
