The early part of Tuesday’s card at Western Fair Raceway wasn’t overly kind to trainer Paul Taylor, but he was treated like royalty in the final three dashes
of the 12-race program.
Taylor started the day with an 0-for-4 record before wrapping up the card with three consecutive wins. Trevor Henry mapped out the winning trip for the Taylor-trained Cammisrazmataz (1:58.1) in Race 10 and followed-up with stablemate Twin B Lovey (2:00.2) in Race 11. Brad Forward capped off the hat trick with Jiffyson (1:56.1) in Race 12.
The three-win performance for Taylor bumped his 2009 win total to 132, and the money won by his starters pushed the stables’ yearly bankroll to $788,188. The Clinton, ON horseman has harness more than 1,400 winners in his career while earnings in excess of $7.6 million in the process.
