The dates and venue for the 2024 Vincent Delaney Memorial Weekend (VDM) have been announced by the European harness racing festival's event committee.
The Vincent Delaney Memorial Weekend will be conducted on Aug. 10-11, 2024. The festival will be held at a new venue in 2024, Wolverhampton Racecourse in the United Kingdom.
"Wolverhampton is one of the biggest tracks in Britain. For them to reach out about hosting the VDM, really shows you just how much the event has grown and how seriously the caliber of racing has improved," said Derek Delaney, VDM Chairman. "We want to thank Tir Prince for all their support and professionalism as hosts over the last three years."
Wolverhampton Racecourse is located outside of Wolverhampton, UK. For visitors, the closest airport is Birmingham. The racetrack has hosted over 120,000 guests a year since its opening in 1888. Besides the top class race course, Wolverhampton also boasts an onsite hotel, bars and restaurants, making it a first class venue for events.
