Keep The Dream did most of the heavy lifting in Friday’s $9,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Northland Park, but it was stablemate Credit Card Junkie who came away with all the glory.

Credit Card Junkie got away last for driver Gerry Hudon in the six-horse affair, but her fresh legs helped propel her past foes in the late stages of the mile en route to a 2:00 triumph. GTs Jerilyn and Keep The Dream took turns on the lead through panels of :29.2, :59.1 and 1:29 before Credit Card Junkie kicked things into overdrive and stepped past all five of her foes. Race favourite Keep The Dream held on for the runner-up award, while Doober Hoozzitz came on late to finish third.

Trainer Keith Clark co-owns the four-year-old daughter of Camystic-Best Promise with Alberta partners Doris McDougall and Verne Rea. The homebred is now a 20-time winner who boasts a career bankroll of $202,771.
