Kendall Seelster doubled up in the $30,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace on Friday night (Nov. 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Sent postward as the 4-5 favourite after winning her last start in this class two weeks ago, Kendall Seelster was ordered outside of her five foes and drove on to claim the top spot once again ahead of Double A Mint (Trevor Henry) through a :26.2 first quarter.

She then took a second quarter breather to the half in :56.1 and raced past three-quarters in 1:24.3 while Sandbetweenurtoes (Bob MccLure) moved first-up from fourth.

Kendall Seelster closed out the mile with a :26.3 final frame, kicking away by 2-1/2 lengths before hitting the wire in 1:51.1. Double A Mint chased in second-place and So Much More (Phil Hudon) closed off cover for third.

Rod Boyd trains the four-year-old Shadow Play mare for 1187422 Ontario Inc.

The 21-time winner has banked more than $900,000 in earnings from 55 lifetime starts. She has earned eight of those wins during a 21-race campaign this season for an annual income of $176,896.

Kendall Seelster paid $3.20 to win.

Filion and Boyd teamed up for a pair of wins on the 10-race program, also scoring with the Robert Key homebred Dragon Striker ($8.70) mid-card.

Scott Young led all drivers for Friday night wins with three, including back-to-back victories with Venus Duharas ($25.40) and Playa Duharas ($18.30) for his father, trainer Bob Young, and owner Haras De L Estrie Inc.
