Rob Fellows trains the homebred for Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo. The four-year-old son of Archangel-Rite Outa The Park now boasts a 5-1-0 record from 16 trips to the track this season. The 12-time winner pushed his lifetime earnings over $700,000 with the win.
Monday’s card also featured the second leg of the Harvest Series for three-year-old trotting fillies, and it was Saint Antoine turning a pocket trip into a solid score for the tandem of driver Scott Young and trainer Brian Lee.
Race favourite Hershey Seelster marched to the lead and Saint Antoine dropped into the two-hole and stalked that foe through fractions of :28, :57.3 and 1:28. The sprint was on in the lane, and Saint Antoine used a :27.4 kicker to win by 1-3/4 lengths over Hershey Seelster in 1:56. Angelwithattitude was third.
The daughter of Kadabra-Resortful is owned by Saulsbrook Stables Inc and Ed Gorc. The partners have watched her manufacture a 3-4-3 record this season from 19 trips to the track. She’s banked over $60,000 to date.
After going 0-for-6 to start the season, veteran pacer Always A Hotshot has reeled off five straight victories for trainer Carmen Auciello at the Campbellville oval.
The nine-year-old son of Always A Virgin-TMS Miss Hot Shot followed cover in the middle stages of the mile before unleashing a wide rally into the stretch. The gelding kicked home in :28 for driver Doug McNair en route to winning by 1-1/4 lengths over Quan Blue Chip. Legal Bettor was third.
Robert Watson, Auciello Stables, Dan Sarafian and Lawrence Fox share ownership on the 27-time winner who is closing in on $420,000 in career earnings.
The victory was one of three on the 10-race card for trainer Auciello. He also scored with Muscle Fashion (1:53) and The Amazingsando (1:53.2).
