According to a report, Bob Heleringer is joining the Kentucky Equine Education Project and will be the organization’s new executive director.
An article by The Courier-Journal states that Heleringer, an attorney and former legislator, will be replacing Patrick Neely, who resigned the position in October.
According to the group’s website, KEEP’s mission is to increase awareness of the benefits of Kentucky's horse economy and to promote jobs and economic opportunities for Kentuckians through the Commonwealth's world-class horse industry. KEEP has lobbied for expanded gaming in Kentucky in the past.
