The Innisfil Cup Claiming Series for trotters kicked off a Friday night at Georgian Downs with three $10,000 divisions

.

In the first split, I Dont Know Mo and driver Aaron Byron, the 7-2 fourth choice, established early command but settled for a two-hole trip as E L Miss Pom (Simon Allard) made a quarter pole move and led the rest of the way. In the stretch, I Dont Know Mo pulled the pocket and wore down the leader in a career-best 1:57.2 effort. E L Miss Pom finished just over a length behind and Mystical Vision (Mark Estell) was third.

Donald Lindsey trains and co-owns the Angus Hall-Lukes Secret five-year-old, who is now five-for-25 in 2009, with Glen Lindsey of Fergus, Ont.

Once favourite Coup De Foudre made the lead at the quarter pole there was no stopping her as she front-stepped her way to a career-best 1:58.3 score in line to Simon Allard, who has three wins on the 11-race card. Bumpas Bankin Onit (Stephen Byron) and Zorgwijk Impact (Aaron Byron) rounded out the top three.

The winning five-year-old daughter of Victorys Force-Myra Angus is trained and owned by Rene Allard. Tonight’s triumph was Coup De Foudre’s seventh of the season in 24 starts.

Bally Vaughan and Mike Langdon tracked early leader Nicks Agreement (Alvin Hamilton) from second to the half before launching his attack and trotting away by two lengths for the 2:00 victory and 7-1 upset. The time of the mile was a new mark for Bally Vaughan. Blueridge Maple (Vernon Cochrane) and Windsong Felicity (Dan Clements) grabbed the silver and bronze trophies.

Paul Roberts trains and owns the five-year-old son of Malabar Maple-Channel Surfing, who has won five of his 26 races this year.

The Series, for non-winners of $60,0000 lifetime as of October 15, 2009, will continue next Friday with $12,000 divisions and wrap up one week later with a $25,000 (added) final.
