Since relocating to the stable of trainer Richard Moreau pacer Aahm A Gesture has taken out a new lease on life.
The three-year-old Shark Gesture gelding toted a five-race winning streak into his Monday evening assignment at Woodbine Racetrack, and he had no problem extending the streak to six-in-a-row for driver Sylvain Filion.
Filion hustled Aahm A Gesture to immediate command in the $16,000 claiming tilt for sophomores, and after chopping out splits of :27.2, :55.3 and 1:24.2 the gelding used a :28.4 closing quarter to win by 2-3/4 lengths in 1:53.1.
It was the eighth win of the season in 27 trips to the track this season for Aahm A Gesture, who is owned by Terry Hunter of Cambridge, ON. The lion’s share of the purse boosted the pacer’s lifetime earnings to $67,128.
Another six-race winning streak was achieved on Monday’s card at Woodbine Racetrack thanks to a first-over score by Atoka Millionaire.
The three-year-old son of Million Dollar Cam-Cristel Story survived a first-over to win in going away fashion in a time of 1:55.2 for the tandem of driver Scott Zeron and trainer Mike Lamoureux.
The colt, who is owned by Omer and Marc Belisle of Val Caron and Mary Jessica Lamoureux of Chelmsford, ON, improved this year’s record to 17-1-4 from 32 trips postward. He put away more than $74,000 in earnings this season.
