The offspring of Earl and Kathy Beaman's foundation broodmare Tori Hall has started the week strong at Plainridge Park.
New Hampshire owners and breeders Earl and Kathy Beaman watched their three-year-old Halifax ($9.60) get his first lifetime win on Tuesday, Nov. 11 as the gelding took the afternoon's featured $17,606 maiden trot at The Ridge.
Driven by Jim Hardy and trained by Jolene Andrews, Halifax ($9.60) won his 22nd career start in 1:58.4 by half a length over two-year-old Mcmikenmike (Bruce Ranger), with sophomore filly Bridgeoverbroadway (Mitchell Cushing) three lengths back in third.
Sired by Royalty For Life, Halifax just finished competing in the Massachusetts Breeders Stakes at the end of October.
He followed up wins by his older Crazy Wow siblings this week at Plainridge. The Beamans also celebrated victories by two other racehorses out of Tori Hall, Poppy Wow and Open winner Pepper Wow, on Monday at the Massachusetts oval.
