The George Rennison-trained American Risk will headline the Tuesday evening, Nov. 12 featured pace on the second last program of the 2024 season at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The 10-dash Tuesday card is the penultimate program of the season in Prince County, P.E.I., with the final date set for Nov. 19 at Red Shores Summerside. First race post time in 6 p.m. for Tuesday with the $3,400 top class lining up in race nine.

American Risk ships in from Truro Raceway as the 5-2 morning line favourite with Corey MacPherson grabbing the catch-drive for trainer Rennison and owner Risky Bizz Group of Truro, N.S. The eight-year-old son of American Ideal was a winner in 1:56.4 his last start on the final card of the season at Truro Raceway.

First Glance (David Dowling) rides a two-race win streak into post two from the Jennifer Doyle stable as he seeks win number 11 of the year.

Silver Spirit (Ryan Desroche) has rail control from the Tammy Collings barn after a second-place finish for his new connections on Nov. 5.

Consistent pacer Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) holds down post three from the Paul Biggar barn while Brookdale Johnny (Paul Langille) will try for another top class triumph from post five for trainer Phil Sizer.

American Risk is the top selection in the Backstretch Beat this week: “Those 2024 numbers jump off the page and American Risk does have eight wins on his resume. Draws post four and does like to leave so expect him to be near the front and to seal the deal in Summerside.”

Race four of the evening has the red-hot Woodmere Heather M looking for her fifth straight victory from the Doyle stable. Dowling drives the daughter of Malicious for owner Danny Birt of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. Her main foes are pegged as Jazzville (Langille) and Dollys Sky (Kyle Desroche).
