Make it six wins in her last nine outings for ultra-productive Power And Grace thanks to her rallying triumph in Thursday’s $13,000 Preferred 2 for trotters at Flamboro Downs.

On the heels of back-to-back runner-up efforts in the class, driver Brett MacDonald worked out a beautiful, two-hole trip for the six-year-old daughter of Holiday Road-Mark Of Honour. She tracked the front-stepping Esquire through fractions of :27.4 and :57.3. Wild And Crazy Guy rushed to the top in the backstretch and took the field to the three-quarter pole in 1:26.1.

Now backed up to third at the rail as the field headed into the final quarter of the contest, Power And Grace angled to the outside and then brushed home in :30 to win by three-quarters of a length over Wild And Crazy Guy. Esquire faded to finish third.

Ron MacDonald trains the 32-time winner for Hartel Maintenance Inc and Lormer McClure. It was the eighth win of the 2021 campaign for the career winner of $265,550.
