Further delays announced earlier this week regarding Baymount Incorporated’s plans for Quinte Raceway and Slots in Belleville, Ont. have left many horsemen frustrated

Baymount Incorporated entered into a Letter of Intent with Plaza Gaming and Entertainment Corp. in mid-August, but the closing date for the deal between the two companies has been extended to October 30, 2009.
“When I see the building up I’ll believe it,” local horseman Paul Rashotte told the Belleville Intelligencer. “I want it to happen but I don’t know whether this new group is the answer.”
“Many of us are at a wait and see position,” he continued. “I don’t know if there’s anybody who can make this happen, but it's frustrating when you know we used to race right here and now we don’t know when we may ever be able to again.”
