This year’s Breeders Crown finals are on Oct. 25 and 26 at Meadowlands Racetrack and the track will offer special promotions and events to complement the great on-track racing action both nights.
The Friday promotions include a Halloween Costume Contest with total prizes worth $1,200 USD. Participants can sign up from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse Lobby with judging in the winner’s circle following race four. The winner will receive $500 USD with prizes awarded for second-place of $250 USD, third place of $100 USD and fourth-place of $50 USD. There will also be $100 USD prizes for scariest, funniest and best horse-themed costumes.
Another promotion running on the Friday will be the Tote Machine Payout. Guests who use any self-service tote machine between 6:15 p.m. and 11 p .m. are eligible to win voucher values from $2 USD to $500 USD. Voucher prizes will be based on the overall number of wagers made in the entire facility on self-service machines.
The fun continues on Saturday with a Breeders Crown Hat Contest with a total of $1,200 USD in prizes up for grabs. Participants can sign up from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse Lobby with judging in the winner’s circle following race four. The winner will receive $500 USD with prizes also awarded for second-place of $250 USD, third place of $100 USD and fourth-place of $50 USD.
On Saturday, there will also be a Handicapping Contest with prizes totalling $10,000 USD. A $100 USD “betting card” purchase is required at contest check-in and entry includes a live racing program. Contestants must bet a minimum of five Meadowlands races. There is no minimum and no maximum bet per race. Contestants can bet any wager on the Meadowlands live wagering menu, including Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta, Pick 3/4/5/6, Daily Double, Superfecta and Pick X wagers. Contestants will keep all pari-mutuel winnings. Unlimited entries are allowed per person. The prize payouts will be as follows: $2,500 USD for first, $2,000 USD for second, $1,250 USD for third, $1,000 USD for fourth, $750 USD for fifth and $500 USD for sixth though 10th.
