Key Advisor topped the Thursday (Oct. 5) evening card at Hollywood Gaming Raceway, winning the $20,000 feature pace in a photo finish.

As part of his driving hat trick on the card, Dan Noble and Key Advisor led to the first panel in :26.4 before accepting the pocket trip behind favoured Odds On Shaggy. After panels in :54.2 and 1:22.1, Key Advisor tipped out in the final turn to regain control. Jks Champ sped from fifth to challenge the new leader, but Key Advisor held on to win by a head in 1:50.3. Saddle Up (Tyler Smith) rounded out the top three.

Dennis Owens and Norman Rae Racing LLC co-own the eight-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding trained by Christi Noble.

Dan Noble doubled up for his team winning with Stars Align A in race five in 1:52.2 before the Xenia native found victory lane once again in race 10 with Carlos Mittanna for trainer Pete Redder in 1:53.1 over a sloppy rain-ridden track.

Wagering was a frenzy at Dayton Raceway having a $25,000 guaranteed Pick 5 pool, which revealed two winning tickets.

The first leg saw $18,028 in live money after heavy favourite Primary Colors scored in race two with driver Brett Miller aboard for trainer Walter Haynes Jr. Things quickly changed stride in the second leg when 8-1 morning line Odds On Capitalism found his way to victory in race three with driver Tyler Smith at the controls for Virgil Morgan Jr. leaving $1,878 in live money left in the Pick 5. Race four produced an even greater upset when 27-1 The Thunder Rolls, driver Tony Hall, and trainer Danny Dubeansky teamed up to swoop the field, leaving $6 in live money. Completing the Pick 5 pool was race favourite Caviart Cooper, driver Tyler Smith and trainer Mike Arnold, leaving two winning tickets each paying $19,446.30.

Steve Carter had a training double on the Thursday evening card, winning with Incredible Man (Brett Miller) in 1:50.1 and Tre Cruz (Austin Hanners) in 1:51.4.

Racing resumes on Friday, Oct. 6 at Dayton Raceway.
