
Woodmere Tango, an Articulator daughter consigned by Woodmere Farms of Marshfield, P.E.I., topped a record-breaking Atlantic Classic Sale on Friday, Oct. 6 in Crapaud, P.E.I.
Morah Kerr of Truro, Nova Scotia purchased Woodmere Tango, who is a full sister to multiple stakes winner Woodmere Dancenart, for $28,000.
Woodmere Farms also sold the second and third highest sellers in Woodmere Nora for $27,000 to Dave Fillmore, the same price reached by Woodmere Brackley, who sold to Pat Morris.
An Atlantic record price for a trotter was set by Maritime Star, who sold to Joe Smallwood for $16,000, consigned by Meridian Farms.
Gross sales were up 20 per cent over last year with sales totalling $991,300. Ninety-three horses sold with a sale average of $10,659.
