Flamboro Downs is sending out a quartet of talented players to the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship on October 30, at Georgian Downs. Included in this talented team is Gary Naylor, a longtime race fan from Hamilton, Ont.

Naylor has been a racing fan for over 50 years and enjoys both standardbred and thoroughbred racing. He’ll be packing his lucky silver coin with him when he hits the road for Barrie, Ont., to what he hopes will be the biggest payout of his life.

Here are some interesting tidbits about this wagering wizard:

Favourite Racetrack – Flamboro Downs
Favourite Driver – Jody Jamieson
Favourite Food – Spaghetti and Meatballs
Favourite Stakes Race – Kentucky Derby
Favourite Horse of all Time – Northern Dancer
Favourite Celebrity – Wendel Clark

Naylor would love to win the $25,000 grand prize. If he does turn the trick, he plans on taking the trip of a lifetime to British Columbia to do some salmon fishing.
