The 2009 season has been a very productive one for trainer Rene Allard, who assembled a three-win performance with his troops at Grand River Raceway on Monday evening
.
Allard entered the card with 219 wins this season – more than any other trainer in the nation – and he bumped that total to 222 thanks to wins with Duke Of Wellington (2:01.2), Courtside (1:57.1) and King Kronos (1:58.1).
Prior to this season, Allard’s highest win total in single season was the 161 winners he sent out in 2007. Last year his starters banked more than $875,000 – a personal best for the Quebec native – but that record fell by the wayside earlier this season. His stable has currently stashed away more than $1.7 in earnings.
