Dynamic Youth captured his second straight Preferred Pace on Saturday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and equalled a world record in the progress. The race carried the night’s top purse of $25,000.

Leaving from post position No. 3 in a field of seven as the 2-5 favourite, Dynamic Youth (Bettors Delight-Always True), a four-year-old gelding from the Aaron Lambert barn, was third at the quarter-mile marker, but made his move for the lead on the front stretch. Once he cleared prior to the clubhouse turn, no one was able to take the lead away. Driver Andrew McCarthy didn’t have to urge him on much as Dynamic Youth rolled across the line one and a quarter lengths ahead of Artache Hanover while Uncle Goodfellow finished third.

The winning time of 1:48.1 by Dynamic Youth matched the world record for four-year-old geldings on the pace on a five-eighth-mile oval. That mark was set earlier this season at Pocono by Live On.

Dynamic Youth, owned by Ken Tucci, C&G Racing and J&T Silva Stables, picked up his sixth victory in 16 tries this season. The win, the 15th of his career, pushed his lifetime earnings to $787,058.

As a 12-1 shot, In Your Room not only upended a field of condition trotters later on Saturday night's card, but she also matched a world record in the process. The race, a condition for non-winners of $25,000 in the last five starts, carried a purse of $21,000.

Leaving from post position No. 2 in a field of seven, In Your Room (CR Excalibur-Chris Image), a five-year-old mare trained by Gail Wrubel, found a spot on the inside not too far off the scorching pace set by Money On My Mind. Other horses faltered in the chase, but In Your Room stayed close enough to rally under the urging of Mike Simons in the stretch and upend the very game Money On My Mind by three-quarters of a length. Smoother Rode finished third.

The winning time of 1:51.4 matched the track and world record for aged trotting mares on a five-eighth-mile oval. That mark was set earlier this season at Pocono by Beatgoeson Hanover.

In Your Room, owned by Classico Stables, won for the seventh time in 25 races this season. It was her 15th career victory and pushed her career earnings to $185,302.
