Reports from Kentucky indicate that the Red Mile will sell a 10-acre parcel of land, including the former Tattersalls sale site, for an undisclosed sum

The land was purchased by Hallmark Campus Communities of Columbus, Ohio. On Monday, the site was rezoned from warehousing to residential and plans currently call for Hallmark to build "an 832-bed project with four four-story buildings, a swimming pool, a pool house with an exercise center, and outdoor volleyball and basketball courts" according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Joe Costa, told the Herald-Leader that the property had limited future use. Sales are now primarily conducted at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion as renovation costs to make the old sales barn functional were "excessive" and The Red Mile had extended its lease agreement to sell at Fasig-Tipton.
