Time To Dance Waltzes, Yet Again

Time To Dance disposed of his foes again Sunday afternoon (Oct. 4) at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway, en route to his sixth consecutive victory.

Marc Campbell powered his pacer to the lead in the featured $4,000 Mayor Basil Stewart City of Summerside Appreciation Pace in a hotly contested first quarter of 27 seconds flat. The half was reached in :57 with Time To Dance in complete control before fighting off Rose Run Quest (who was driven by Gilles Barrieau) at the three quarters in 1:25.3. Time To Dance then kicked home in :27.4 to win by four lengths in 1:53.2. Rose Run Quest finished second while Woodmere Ideal Art (David Dowling) completed the triactor. Brent Campbell of Charlottetown shares ownership of Time To Dance with Matt McDonald of Edwards, Ont.

Soccer Hanover was the boss in the $2,750 Preferred 2 pace as Corey MacPherson guided the Leith Waite trainee to a 1:55.4 clocking over Best To Hurst (Barrieau) and Legendary Ron (Adam Merner). Waite co-owns the six-year-old son of Dragon Again with Les and Spencer Waite of Charlottetown.

Jadensmagicsteel scored a 20-length romp in the race 5 John Stewart Memorial in 1:58.4 to break his maiden for driver Merner and trainer Ron Gass.

The race 6 Cecil James Stewart Memorial saw Lord And Legend deliver in 1:58.3 for trainer-driver Jason Hughes.

Instant Shadow and driver Marc Campbell won the race 7 Garth Schurman Memorial with a 1:57.3 score for trainer Sifroi Melanson.

Mall Cop was the winner in the Leon James Stewart Memorial on top at every call in 2:00.1 for driver Kenny Arsenault and trainer Greg Weatherbee. The Matinee finals were also held at the Prince County oval with Cinder Angelina in line to Jaycob Sweet and Hook Her Boots with Steven Sweet winning their respective divisions.
