Surrealist continued his double-digit win streak in Nova Scotia on Sunday afternoon (October 30) for trainer Richard Mullins and owner Dana Getto.
The 10-year-old Modern Art-Keeping Secrets gelding notched his 11th straight victory in the $1,100 Winners Over Handicap Pace at Northside Downs. Redmond Doucet, who drove Surrealist to his first victory in the streak back on July 31 in the Johnny & Margaret Allan Ian Pace at Inverness Raceway, was reunited with the pacer for Sunday's score.
Surrealist rallied wide from sixth-place at the third quarter mark to defeat pacesetter Brother John and Eastcoast Cruiser by three-quarters of a length in 1:59 flat over the 'good' track.
His current winning crusade began with nine straight victories at Inverness, followed by a win at Truro Raceway last weekend and Sunday's successful outing over Northside.
Surrealist is 16-for-24 overall on the year and has won 51 races lifetime and $274,841 in purses.
