Roscoes Child Romps In CDP Main Event

Roscoes Child captured the Thursday night feature in 1:56.2 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino, and in doing so he nabbed his fourth win in his last six starts.

Brodie MacPhee put Roscoes Child on the lead and rated him through panels of :28, :58.1 and 1:27.3 before asking the seven-year-old gelding to step home in :28.4 to register the win. It was his eighth win of the season over the CDP oval.

Raymond White trains the pacer for the Selkirk Stable of Belfast PEI. Doll R General was second with Pinner third.

Majian Dillion, with James Ripley in the bike, won the trot class on the program in 2:03.

John Holmes had a driving double on the final Thursday night program of the season.

Racing returns Saturday afternoon in Charlottetown at 1 p.m. Red Shores Summerside will host a Sunday program. Post time in 1 p.m.
